Family Game Nights

The kids love to play games so we try to play with them as often as possible but are trying harder to make it a tradition that Friday night is either family game night or movie night.  Tonight we played Curious George Hide and Seek Zoo Game.  Such a fun game for all the kids.  The best part is when the remote starts playing music which means all the "animals" must go hide and whoever turn it is they must go help George go find all the animals.  Abby likes the hide part but tends to mess with all the cards when we aren't hiding :-).

That girl cant say it enough in one day.  Lord help me she must learn some more words!!  The best is when she says NO, swats her hand at you, and gives you angry eyes.

Forts Forts and more Forts

Not sure if this is a boy thing or something my kids are obsessed with.  They want to build forts anywhere and everywhere and most of the time it consist of EVERY blanket and pillow we own in the house.  I will admit there are many times I would prefer them not to mess up the house with all the blankets and pillows or deal with the fact that the blankets will not stay in place but in all I know they love it! Today as I vacuumed the floors and did my end of the day pick up this fort was the babysitter :-)!

They used our tall bar stools and now are sitting on top of the "roof"!



Lynn's Baby Shower

Today Ami, Dawn, Tammy & I brought together the woman who love her the most to celebrate the new addition her and Jon will be adding the their already adorable family.  She is 28 weeks pregnant with her third girl!!!  Brooke (10) & Leah (7) are very excited that their mommy is having another baby and probably could be happier that it will be a girl.  Whats even funnier is that Tammy, Lynn's sister, has a girl of her own.  Talk about some hormones :-)!! 

We had the shower at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in the Seahorse Grill.  The menu was picked out by the four of us who hosted and the chef at the club made the cake which was INCREDIBLE!  Since we were overlooking the beautiful beach and ocean we didn't need to many decorations but added some flowers and balloons to make it feel like a baby shower.  Come to find out that the flowers we picked were Lynn's favorite!! As a party favor we had Peterbrooke Chocolate make small bags of chocolate covered popcorn and stick a sticker on the front that said "Ready to Pop". 

I loved that we all were able to make this weekend happen not only for Lynn but so that we could have another great girls weekend.  My life wouldn't be what it is today if I didn't still have Lynn, Ami, or Dawn to share it with.  Nothing can compare to a friendship that has lasted more than 20 years!!!

Good Morning Mommy

Laying in bed with my sweet little boys and daddy this morning and this was our conversation
(the order we were laying went Mommy, Dylan, Colby, and Daddy)

Mommy: once baby comes were not all going to fit in the bed 
Daddy: mommy will have to go to the couch
Mommy: Abby can lay between right here (between Colby and Dylan)
Colby: well Abs butt wont fit once she gets bigger
Mommy surprised and Daddy cracking up
Daddy: what about mommy? does that mean that her butt is big too since she is grown up?
Colby: Yes....we need a wider bed
Of course Daddy has egged this conversation on a bit more than I can even explain in a post

Love how kids say the craziest things and how daddy thinks its funny to keep the conversation going by adding as much as he can into the 5 year old little mind. 

Trying not to worry

I am 34 1/2 weeks pregnant and found out 2 weeks baby is not head down!! When Kim, the the lady who does my US, said "Oh are you scheduled for a C-Sec?" I knew exactly why she was asking.  I had the feeling baby was not head down but wasn't sure if that feeling was coming from the fact that Abby was not head down at 32 weeks or where I was feeling kicks.  When I found out Abby was not head down I did not take the news very well.  I cried for 2 weeks......basically I was a basket case :-).  Petrified of having surgery since I have never had a big surgery before in my life.  I quickly posted on Facebook.....32 weeks baby not head down any suggestions?  Many people responded but Shannon recommended me seeing a chiropractor close to home that helped turn all of her babies.  It worked or that is what I believed turned Abby!!

This time since I went in feeling that baby was not head down and I had been seeing the chiropractor some during this pregnancy I did not freak out.  I decided that last time stressing, crying, and letting the thought of a c-sec consume me that this time I would pray about it, try not to worry and go to Dr Huber more consistently.

Two weeks later (34 weeks) I had a regular check up with Dr Barnes and he though the baby's head was still on the right side.....the stress, worry and freaking out is trying to rise above me and take over!!!  I tell myself that it cannot consume me and I have to take it more seriously.  Now I have appts 3 times per week with Dr Huber, doing her pressure point at home, did a few somersaults in the pool a few days ago (read it could help), boys are talking to bottom of my belly (Colby did this when Abby was in my belly), put frozen bag of vegetables at the top of my belly, and "visualizing" as I am told. 

Next appointment and US is Aug 19........

Love my Boys

Colby and Dylan have been going to Hodges Presbyterian for a camp all week.  Today was the last day and we were walking out of the camp to the car and I tell them that we are going to Plant Ranch to get a few things then home.  Dylan has been wanting to "make" mommy a flower.  We weren't sure if he meant draw a flower, make one out of paper, or actually plant one.  He said to me "can we get you your flower to make?".  I ask him if he wants to get seeds that we plant into the ground or one that is already "grown up" and stick it in a pot.  He says seeds and then said "mommy your the best!!!".  Colby says "yeah mommy is the best, daddy is the best, Abby is the best, Colby is the best, and Dylan is the best!".  Dylan adds in "so is Baby Blake...he is the best too!" Colby finishes with "we have the best family ever!!". 

So many hugs and kisses were given after that conversation!
