Trevor turns 40!

Happy Birthday Trevor! Its weird to say I am celebrating one of my friends 40th birthday.  I can remember when my parents were planning their friends and their own 40th birthday parties.  I can even remember being in middle school and high school knowing people who were in their mid 20's thinking "man they are old" and now look where I am!

Becky set up a nice surprise party at North Beach Bistro.  We had a private room in the back with a full bar, servers, yummy food, and a great guitarist.  I really appreciated Becky giving us a night to catch up with people we love but don't get to see very often.

Not sure if Trevor had any clue that something was going on but when we pulled into the parking lot it was full.  Scott had to drive around looking for a spot and Trevor's wandering eyes saw peoples cars that he knew.  He started asking "are the Case's supposed to be here?" "What about the Skipper's?' and "Look there is my parents car".  It was kinda funny.

It was a fun night filled with great friends!

Abby's 1st Dentist Appointment

Today Abby went to see the dentist for the first time and she did GREAT!!!  Colby and Dylan went first so that she could see what the hygienist would be doing.  I thought this would help but all Abby cared about was getting into the chair so she could watch some TV (there are TVs on the ceiling for the kids to watch as they are laying back).  She never cried or was scared.  When they asked her to open she would and when they asked her to close she did.  I am so proud of her.

Dr. Fishman was able to tell that she still used a pacifier and told her that it was messing with her bite.  He asked that it go away ASAP.  Since its doctors orders that is the plan this weekend.

She is saying "toothpaste"

Cool, calm, and collected

Colby's 1st soccer game 2012

Just as I said in my post Soccer season begins....finally no rain and Colby gets to play! Week three and it was our first game.  Somehow we will try to squeeze in the first two games that were missed before the actual season ends.  No lights on the field so the season cannot be prolonged or the players wont be able to see while they are running on the fields.  Not sure if these kids will love playing multiply games in a row or get burnt out quickly.

Colby enjoyed playing but I think he was either not feeling good or very tired.  He was slow to react and not much of an attention span.  We shall see what the season brings over the next few weeks.

Trying to break away from the other team

Running after the ball

Not sure if he is running or tripping

Ok can we get on with this game?

Trying to get the ball so his team can score

Blake says this in NO WAY to spend a 1st birthday :-)

I'm ONE

Cannot believe it has been a entire year already!! This little man has brought so much joy to our family.  Although he gave mommy a run for her money the first 6 months when it came to sleeping at night he is the most laid back kid we could ask for.  Its not often you find him not smiling at anything, anyone and everything.  He definitely has his own agenda and does not want anyone to detour him in anyway.  If you should think about detouring him he will kick his feet and push out his bottom lip as far as it will go.

His big brother Colby has a sappy heart for him.  He cannot stand to see him cry and will try to rescue him whenever possible.  As cute as this may seem we have had to tell him that in some situations we are trying to teach Blake that he cannot act that way.

In the last month he has had 2 molars pop through and is working on 2 more.  Along with a front tooth on the top and another front tooth on the bottom finally coming all the way in.  He hasn't been enjoying this at all.  Needless to say you would think our night time would be a disaster but we actually have not had that many awful nights.  Thank the Lord!

He is trying to walk and will do anywhere from 3-6 steps before falling on his bottom and crawl.  He can crawl really fast so why not get there quicker?!?!?

Although I have not taken him to his 1 year check up we ended up at the doctor on his birthday :-(.  He has had a cough and runny nose for 2 weeks and then developed a high fever.  Poor little guy did not feel good at all.  Good news is they couldn't find anything wrong and said it was viral.  Lets hope this little viral bug goes away SOON!

I am so excited to see him grow over the next year.  Who will he act like?  Who will he start to look more like?  What will his personality be like? So many exciting things to look forward to.

Singing Happy Birthday one more time

Give me that cookie!!

Not feeling good but this cookie makes it better

First day of school

Although we have been doing some school for the last 2 weeks it has only been review.  So today is our official 1st day of school! Instead of having signs printed of what grade they were in we decided to write their grade and add what they wanted to be when they grew up.  I cannot wait to do this each year to see how it changes.....

I am sure all of you who know Dylan can only imagine him as a Ninja when he grows up.  He really does think he can do anything and be anything.  Hope he never shies away from his unique personality.

And Colby...well if there is one thing I can guarantee is that he wants to be just like his daddy when he grows up.  Daddy has been his baseball coach from day 1 and he now wants to follow his footsteps and be a coach himself.  I love it!!!

Here we go for another fun filled year with many twist, turns, accomplishments, and the best teacher they could ever ask for :-)!

A DINO-Mite Party

There were Dinosaurs galore helping us celebrate Blake's 1st birthday! They came stomping in and were ROARing as loud as they could to get the party started.  With family and our close friends joining in to be sure our baby knew how much he is loved! Since we couldn't get any dinosaur meat for dinner we settled for some Mojo's BBQ and delicious cupcakes from Cinotti's to fill us up.  The birthday boys cake was specially made by Daddy and a little help from Mommy.  He enjoyed digging into it and as a result he became a green monster.  Such a bitter sweet party to throw.  With 4 kids we have many more birthday parties to plan but this was the very last 1st birthday :-(.  A BIG thanks goes out to one of greatest friends, Nikki, for taking all my pictures.
