Happy Birthday to me! I woke up to a husband who sang to me :-) and kids who were VERY excited to have someone in the family having a birthday. Dylan was concerned about where all the people were......he thought they should be at our house for the birthday party. That made Scott & I giggle but we explained that mommy's and daddy's don't always have birthday parties. So he proceeded with asking "what about the cake?". With much to my dismay I had to explain to him that mommy and the baby had to go tot he doctor to have our sugar checked the following day so we could have cake. He said "it's OK mommy we can still get cake for me, Abby & Colby to eat!". So thoughtful of him to be generous enough to want to eat my cake for me.
I hit the BIG 37 this year! Love when people ask "so what did you do today?" My answer " took Colby to swim lessons at 10:30, met Grammy & grandmommy at Moe's for lunch (kids eat free), home for naps to get them all back in the car for Abby and Dylan's swim lessons". Once the kiddos are added to the mix birthdays just aren't like they used to be. Just having the kids say Happy Birthday to me over and over along with their excitement it made my birthday better than ever. Kids bring such a joy to a birthday.
Daddy came home to cook me fish, shrimp and veggies on the grill. YUMMY!! Earlier in the day I stopped by Cupcake Girls to get 2 cupcakes to split between the kids and Daddy. This way the kids had something to put candles in and sing to mommy. We sang and opened presents. My two big presents were my sewing machine (Thanks to family members who donated money) & a new lens for the camera.
