Hour of Entertainment!

We had a few trees die in our backyard so down down they came which provided some good entertainment for all three kids!!  Its amazing how kids are fascinated with things that we as adults don't even think about being cool.  They loved seeing the tree guy climb up the tree using his harness and seeing the limbs/branches fall.

Goldfish as the snack of choice

Watching as they put the trees into the chipper

After the limbs went into the chipper both boys wanted to see what it looked like.  The tree guy lifted them up to see into the back of the truck.  This job made the kids day.  They couldn't wait to tell daddy all about it and show him the pile of firewood they left in the woods.

Monka's Carrier

Dylan came up to me today with is Monka's wrapped in a blanket and said "mommy I am carring Monka's in their carrier"! So funny how they pick up on the things we do.

Blake's 2 month check-up

My little man who isn't so little weighed in at 12 lbs 13 oz today!!!  He grew to 23 3/4" long.  Both weight and height fell in the 75%.  Doctor Connolly said he looked great and hoped not to see us til his 4 month visit.  We ended the visit with his 1st set of shots.  It doesn't get any easier, even with the 4th baby, to see the look in their eye when the first needle goes in.  The scream and silent cry is heart breaking.  Once mommy could pick him up to console him he was all better.  So far the shots have just made him very sleepy.  Lets just hope that carries throughout the night :-)!

Playing in the rain

The kids always want to go outside and play in the rain but more often than not Florida rain has thunder and lightening with it. Today there was just rain so the kids suited up and out they went.  Abby only made it about 10 minutes then she was ready to come in and get warm.  They boys lasted through a good down pour and more.  Little life pleasures that bring a smile to a kids face.  I love it!!!

Too confident too quickly

As you may have read Colby learned to ride his bike without training wheels a few days ago.  Today he was out with all the big kids in the neighborhood showing them his new skill and as quick as he learned to ride he quickly took a big fall.  Poor lil guy was so excited to be riding without his training wheels and then this happened.

Scott and I were all ready to go out for a few hours and he fell just as we were about to leave.  Rachel was here to babysit and she was the one who saw him fall and brought him to daddy.  Scott asked Rachel to come get me and she was so calm when she came inside.  When I got outside Colby was pretty upset.  We made sure his teeth were there along with not being loose.  We examined his lip to be sure it was not going to need stitches.  Thankfully Becky, Trevor, Katie and Jackson were there to help with Dylan and Abby.  Rachel had Blake so this gave Scott and I the time to be with Colby as we cleaned him up and settled him into our bed to rest.

Due to his lip being swollen and cut up he enjoy smoothies and milkshakes!!   Good news is he has already told us that once he is better he will be back out on his bike :-).

Two Months and Growing like a weed

Amazing how time really does fly by! I am trying very hard to cherish these moments but boy time gives no mercy on me!  Blake is such a sweet little blessing to this whole family.  He is smiling a lot and loves his brothers and sister.  In return his brothers and sister cannot get enough of him.

Blake is sleeping anywhere from 5 1/2 hours to 8 (OK the 8 only happened once).  During the day he is falling into a good pattern of sleep, eat, play, sleep again.  Mommy has had to cut dairy from her diet and we have noticed a big change in his mood.  I added it back in for a few days and he was not happy with me.  So lesson learned quickly! The car isn't his best friend but with each outing he is getting better and better.

Before I know it I will be back on blogging that he is 3 months! Let this next month slow down :-)

My 3 boys!

Colby & Dylan wanted to play a board game today before nap/quiet time.  Blake was awake too and they made sure he was apart of the fun.  The decided he was going to be the hippo in the game Busytown.  It is just too sweet that they always want him around and apart of what we are doing.  Wonder if they will feel the same once he can mess with their stuff :-)?!?!

Colby learns to ride a bike.....

Today we went outside to play and I randomly asked Colby if he wanted to try to ride his bike with no training wheels.  He has been asking to try again so I wasn't surprised when he said yes.  My neighbor Amy had given me some pointers on how to help him balance and get him going so that was my plan of action.  Out to the street we went and I stood behind him holding on to his sides to help keep his balance.  Very nervous he decided he wanted to go in our driveway to practice.  About this time Brian and Andrew were outside cheering him on.  Brian came over to help and give Colby a few pointers.  Then before I knew it Brian had Colby out in the street helping and within 10 minutes of Brian coaching Colby was riding all by himself!!  Amy and I were cheering him on with so much excitement! Then about 5 minutes later daddy was driving down the street I pointed at Colby so he would watch him.  Once daddy knew what he was doing he began to beep the horn over and over.

Colby's smile could light up the night! He was so proud of himself! It's such an awesome feeling to see your kid accomplish something and see the excitement in their eyes!
