Cuddles on the couch

Colby 4 1/2, Abby 15 mo, Dylan 3

Its so nice to see that my kids love each other and enjoy being with one another.  I can only pray that this will last a lifetime.  In my opnion having siblings and being close to each other is so important.  No matter where life takes you and the troubles you may find family will be there to pull you through.  There is nothing like brotherly and sisterly love!!!

S'mores

Who doesn't like a nice HOT marshmallow straight from the fire to melt some chocolate and then smushed between graham crackers?!?!? This is a fall and winter favorite among our kids and the kids in the neighborhood. Some like to have just marshmallows, some like it all the way, and some like to see how burnt they can get their marshmallows then throw them in the woods for the raccoons. Either way you do it it still is a great time!!

Colby eating his masterpiece

Dylan is sure why his is still white and not black

The neighborhood crew

Andrew won with the most burnt marshmallow and he is so proud!!

Firehouse

What a fun day!  Colby, Dylan and I went to the firhouse on Hogan to tour the inside and see the BIG trucks the firemen get to drive and play on.  We went with my Mom 2 Mom group from church.  The guys who worked here were so nice and I loved that they didnt mind the little kids touching things, asking questions (basically all at the same time) and the patience they had with this age group.  Many thanks go out to Station 28!!

The chief called the dispatching office and asked them to called back with a "fake" cll so the kids and moms could hear what the alert sounds like when they have an emergency to attend to.  YES it was LOUD!!

Sitting in a BIG recliner where the guys are lazy to watch movies and or TV
The table in the kitchen.  Each day someone is assigned to cook for the house. Some are good cooks and some can't even boil water :-)

Fireman Joe put his entire suit on to show us all the gear they have to have on to go into a fire.  Within the last few days they had been at a massive fire and you could still see the black stuff from the fire and smell it on his suit.

Colby thought it was so cool to be with the Fireman but Dylan wasn't quite sure!
On the fire truck....it even smelled really bad from the last big fire they just fought.
Future Fireman

He is getting used to it all so maybe a furture Fireman :-)!

Pulling out the truck to see how far the ladder can go up.....

He went all the way to the top!!

The Year in Pictures....

I am so thankful that both my friend Allison and Nikki inspired me to start blogging.  In the beginning I was on a roll then life got hectic due to my dad's illness but I committed to keeping up with it so with a little bit of a push from Nikki I got back into it.  Although I did not start blogging until half way through the year I loved the idea of doing "The Year in Pictures" that both Allison and Nikki did.  Wow! What a year we have had.
