Look what Daddy did to me!!!

Poor Abby!!  Daddy thinks she should have to wear all the boys old clothes......does her face tell you how she feels about it???

Such fun to go to the pool and see the looks from other moms.....either that fmaily is way poor and cant buy their little girl a cute swim suit or that little boy needs a massive haircut to get rid of his mullet!!

Pet Lizard or Earring??

Carter & Lauren came to play today.  It was a good day for Lauren and Dylan....either they bicker the entire time or they love one another.  Carter showed Colby how to catch lizards and let him hang from his ear.  Absolutely the funniest and weirdest thing I have seen in a while from a little boy.  Guess this is what I have to look forward to over the years to come.  Later Carter put the lizard in a miniature red wagon and was pulling him around the yard saying "it's my pet lizard".

Mini Vacation at Nana & Papa's

Scott and I had asked Nana and Papa if they would like to have the kids for a few days to either give us a break or get some things finished around the house.  After finally picking a weekend we decide we will get as much done prior so that the weekend is more relaxing vs killing ourselves to get stuff done.  As the weekend approaches we realize that our plan isn't going to go as we hoped.  Not only did we not get all the projects finished Scott finds out that they will be releasing their earnings a week earlier than expected so he is slammed at work.  Not even sure if he can take any time off :-(.  Oh well we keep plans as they are and take the time to have a quiet house, get some things done without feeling like we are neglecting the kids, and still find time to spend with each other after Scott finishes his hecticness at work.

Here is what the kids did narrated by Nana.......

Hi Mommy & Daddy,
We had fun again today at Grancamp. We all took walks, got to pet the horses, worked on puzzles, sticker books & coloring books. We got to see Grandpa Jack & Doris & eat at Chick-fil-a, & play on the toys, of course. We liked this Chick-fil-a a lot because they gave us ice cream with chocolate syrup on it. Yum! Not sure why Abby thought her underarms needed cleaning while we were in there, though. We played outside in the pool again & Papa sprayed us with the hose. That was fun. After we ate dinner (of course) we went to the yogurt shop (Nana forgot the camera) - Yum, Yum! We did a lot of other stuff, too, but Nana says "what happens at Nana's stays at Nana's". We've been really good & wanted to stay another couple of days but Nana said it was time to go home tomorrow. (Not sure why Papa was smiling.) We miss you & will see you tomorrow.
We love you,
Colby, Dylan & Abby

As much as I hated to say good bye to the kids I was soooo ready to have them home.  Very thankful for the few days of peace and quiet along with some alone time with Scott.  When is GranCamp again?????

Another Day of Summer Fun!

Once again Monday comes around and we all want to go to the pool but the neighborhood peeps have decided that it would be a smart idea to keep the pool closed all day for treatments.  Seriously aren't there ways to this overnight and a shorter period of time???

Anyway , we compromised and went outside to do water fun.  The neighborhood boys came over to join in.  Love my neighbors!!!

Nikki's "Nicole's" Baby Shower

Nikki is due with baby # 2 a week before I am with her second boy.  She tried to say that she didn't need a shower since she was having the same sex but I refused to take No for an answer.  I called her friends Shannon and Laura who graciously jumped in to help celebrate her and Declan.  Nikki was planning my "sprinkle" and we coincidentally booked our showers at the same place.  Saturday we were at Elizabeth's Tea Room for me and then Sunday back again for more!!  Good thing the food was good :-).

Shannon & Laura were so easy to work with.  I loved that they wanted this shower to be as special as if Nicole was having her first baby (just the way it should be).  Since Elizabeth's Tea Room was doing all the food and drinks & cupcakes were coming from Cupcake Girls all three of us wanted to put some personal touches to the shower.  Laura did a great job with the flowers (so good I copied the idea for Lynn's shower), blue pacifiers for the table, balloons, and plates/napkins for dessert.  Shannon made a blanket for Declan that we used for the cupcake table for decoration and bought a sweet book that we all signed for Declan.  I made a bib, from the same material as blanket, and a small birb cloth.  Not only did we want to make the tea room more boyish but wanted Nikki to have some keepsakes she could use from the shower.

Opening all her great gifts!!

Its been fun going through another pregnancy with Nikki.  Even when she did the happy dance because I gained 6 lbs in a month :-)!  Its going to be so much fun having 2 of my kids the same age as 2 of her kids.  From here on out she is on her own! I will support her and be happy for her as she does this again at least once if not twice.  Just call me the sideline cheerleader from now on!!

4th and Final Baby Shower

So blessed to have such wonderful friends who care enough about me to want to celebrate our 4th baby. Especially since most of our friends have two children and we just keep growing :-).  Nikki, Becky, & Cari came together and put together an awesome lunch for me at Elizabeth's Tea Room.  Nikki asked about gifts and I wanted people to come to have lunch, get away from everyday life, and enjoy some food and good girl chat.  Wasn't at all expecting the gifts I did receive from massages, manicures & pedicures, great bottle of wines, free babysitting, JCrew GC, GC to order gourmet meals, GC for my hair salon, and a target GC (who cant use a good ole Target GC???)!!!!

Each person invited has such a special place in my heart and life. From my mother, to old friends and new friends I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to be there with me.
