After clearance from the farmers AKA Nana and Papa we were told we could pull the plants and dig in the dirt to search for what we hoped would be potatoes. Sure enough we got a bucket full!! The kids really enjoyed watering them, caring for them, and seeing them grow taller and taller. Maybe its time we move to a farm and grow more stuff.....OK just kidding I will settle for a box to grow a few things right here in out own backyard.
wow!! i had no idea that's how potatoes grow! i have been looking for someone to build us a plant-garden-box out back. we can't use the actual yard b/c of drainage issues. someone should have a business making those raised garden boxes & getting people started with what's in season, etc. because MY husband can't manage it. he's great at a lot of things... but this would not be his forte.
