Camping with Daddy

Who could think of anything better for a bunch of boys? Tents, sleeping bags, flashlights, campfire, canoeing, zip lining, bow and arrows, and no showers!!! Yup that is what camping is all about with Adventure Guides.  Daddy took the boys this past weekend and had a blast.  Colby was able to go last year and this year Dylan was old enough to join in on the fun.

Leading up to the weekend Dylan was very nervous about the idea of camping/living outdoors for a few days.  He would ask questions everyday like "mommy, can raccoons or bears get into my tent?", "will I be sleeping alone?", "where do we go to the bathroom or brush our teeth?", "what if I don't want to go zip lining", "how and what will we eat?", and many more that I cant think of.  With the encouraging words from mommy, daddy, and Colby he was counting the days down til they left.

From the looks of it they seemed to have a great time.

The sleeping quarters

Not positive what he is eating but if I had to guess its a Smore

Good Morning Colby

Ready to Zip Line...

Up the rope they will go

Cant believe they are climbing this net

Impressive

Just about to go

All ready...his face doesn't look so sure

Will they do it???

Off and ready to go again

Concentrating hard...see the tongue

Getting the shot just perfect

Love his expression

Nice shot Colby!!!

Getting ready

Not sure if he missed all together or just wanted a picture by the target prior to shooting

Look out!!!

Daddy and his boys

Rock climbing

Colby's favorite from last year

Out they go all by themselves ;-)

Doesn't look like they have made it far

Dry land :-) think daddy must have finally gotten in a they sailed away

Round 2 Zip Line

He loved it!!!
Daddy joined in this time....he said it was a bit scary

There is a story behind this last picture....so day #1 Colby and Dylan go zip lining. Colby said it was a little scary and Dylan said it wasn't at all.  They go again and again.  By the 5th time Daddy ask Dylan why his pants are wet and Dylan said "I think it was a little bit scary".  He thought it was so funny that he actually wet his pants! This kid is hilarious.

The camping trip was a huge success and I believe not only will they want to go back next year they may even talk daddy into going camping sooner.
