Spooktacular

This year we decided to go attend Spooktacular on a school night vs a Friday or Saturday night.  What a fabulous decision we made!  It was so much less crowded than last year.  The zoo had candy stations for the kids to "trick or treat" at, a DJ playing music, pumpkin patches, bounce houses, a pirate cove, and an enchanted forest.  The kids had fun eating their candy throughout the zoo and dancing to the music.  There were a few "scare zones" which were not recommended for ages under the age of 10.  Colby and Dylan wanted to go through one but we decided since we already are not getting any sleep due to Blake we didn't want it to be a longer night by getting up because of nightmares.  Abby loved the candy most of all :-)!

  1. I'm so sad we didn't make it to the Zoo this year; it's one of our favorite Halloween traditions. And YES going on a weeknight is far better than battling the crowds during the weekend. We missed your crew tonight but hope that you all had a wonderful Halloween. Hugs, C.
